Ask him out or play hard to get?

My friend says that its rule #5 of being popular NOT to ask a guy out but to play hard to get but i dont know how to play hard to get and i really want to know if this guy likes me and i REALLY want to go on a date with him

really it depends on the guy...playing hard to get can work if he's the kinda guy that likes a chase. but you don't want to come off as too mysterious. Ignoring them tends to work, especially if you smile everyone once in a while. Not in a weird way or anything but if you smile most guys take that as a sign you may like them, and that mixed with the playing hard to get will probably leave them wondering more about you.So then they may want to know you better. But if you want to know if the guy likes you then just walk past him and smile or say hey or something to get his attention and then see how he reacts.....good luck!Ask him out or play hard to get?
This is what you do dont worry about rule number 5 (WTF) do what ever makes you happy if you feel the need to ask him out then ask him sit down and have a real conversation with him and explaine what you want and then see how he feels....good luck hunny and the popularity thing dont get to caught up in it because when you 21 like me it doesnt matter how popular you where it matters who or what makes you happy
Play medium to get! Seriously lol. Don't be too obvious but don't be too mysterious either! Drop hints every now and then =P
I hate playing hard to get to be honest. I would tell him. Peoplel say you should not let him no you are interested and play hard to get, but I don't believe them. I think you should go for it.

i wouldnt wait to long he could move on quick. play hard to get for a week or two then ask him out if he seems interested. just flirt a little bit with him and first see if he is really someone that you would like to go out with get to know him a little.

well girl honestly i think it is okay if you ask a guy out, i mean if you really like this guy how are you going to find out unless you tell him maybe he is shy and he is waiting for you to make your move.
Well, first, talk to him, you know, sound real interesting, and then, when he's about to ask you out, say you have to go but you'd love to talk to him later. When you're walking away, walk as sexy as you can, and then look back at him and give him a smile/wink.
I think you should wait to get asked out.
