How does a guy play hard to get?

Ok, my question's kind of simple. I told this girl awhile ago that I like her and she rejected me. Now she's acting like she kind of likes me (she probably got rejected by the guy she was chasing after). Anyway people told me to play hard to get with her. The only problem is I'm not sure what exactly I should (or shouldn't) do. Do I just ignore her? I was thinking I would just flirt when she's least expecting it and then when she comes to me I would pull back a bit. Like an example: Calling her up one day and asking her to lunch/movies/other date like activity then if she asks me to do something (like the party she is having on New Years Eve) I just act like I'm busy but say maybe I'll go. Okay don't play hard to get. That is super annoying to us girls, and it basically turns us away right off the bat because we think that's how you will be all the time during our relationship.

Playing hard to get means not trying as hard as you normally would. But truth be told those who play games never win. I should know because I used to think I was doing a GREAT job of attracting the guys I liked, by playing hard to get. REALLY, they just got tired of the run around and asked another girl out. I guess that means they weren't THAT into me in the first place, but still you see my point. Just act normal around her.
dont call her up for a date, just say like hey im going to such and such place with my friends, do you want to go. but then dont pay attention to her that much. just talk with your other friends. then when she approaches you be nice, but like your over it. Dont go too long like that tho because she'll think you dont like her anymore then she'll move on

I don't know about most girls, but i hate that. and if a guy i like plays hard to get, theni assume he is and whatever, i lose interest. she probably will. so don't be a kid. don't play games.
Don't play hard to get because this guy I like is doing that and I was really confused and I snapped at him and told him I HATED THAT and he feels like that he hurt me (which he did). Girls HATE that so just be normal, OK? If you don't you may lose her.

ignore her for a while. you might want to take your own advise and flirt or stare at her when she's not expecting it.
i think u should call her and ask her to go somewhere someday.. and then when u r together ask her out .. or ask her out after yall hang-out.. GOOD LUCK :)
